In truth
we can not foresee the future
we can not squander our time
fine tuning
we can not forget our gardens
they are the life force
they are the beginnings
of things of the earth
I protected my roses today
as they stood solemnly near the fence
I fertilized
I dug deep into the soil
I brought fresh soil in
I said a prayer that they would
bear more than 1 rose
Last summer's one orange rose was the queen among
the unsung dormant rose bushes
the orange rose was a poem
in my garden of peace
with the fountain bubbling near by
Take time to rejuvenate
Commune with the flowers, bees, and trees
Be.
