time does not eradicate tears
or the last kiss I had
you in Assisted living
wheelchair bound
time does not take away the pain
of family
not showing up
when they should
time does not eradicate the small whisper
of sadness at dusk
no one here to share a meal
time does not take away all the burdens
all the expectations that hang on a clothesline
time does move us forward
the space I am now
is that of a writer at work
always that time to think
to find new phrases
infinite
that I create.
